Georgetown Square, nestled in the very heart of Bellaire, offers residents the city life of Houston—theater, sports, restaurants, family events, churches, the Medical Center, all manner of convenience—and the opportunity to end each day’s adventure in comfort, with family and community in a neighborhood of peaceful, reflective quiet, happy in the knowledge that the vibrant hum of the city lies just minutes away.
Located in Bellaire, Texas, Georgetown Square was created by Belcastle Corporation, the owner of the land that was subdivided, platted and recorded in Harris County in 1969. In 1971, Belcastle, acting through its President J.D. Cobb and Secretary Samuella Cobb, created and adopted a general and uniform plan of restrictions, covenants and conditions to govern the use, development, improvement and sale of the lots of Georgetown Square for the benefit and protection of each lot and designed to make the area more attractive for residential purposes.
Over the years, from 1972 to the mid-1990s, Georgetown Square was developed, replatted, constructed, replatted, and finally fully built into the community it is today. Each owner of the 53 townhomes enjoys the public use of its streets, alleys, pool and easements and the private use of their own home and property. The small, quiet community nestled off of Newcastle Street, is conveniently located inside Loop 610 near US 59, close to downtown Houston, the Texas Medical Center and neighboring communities of West University, Meyerland, the Galleria.
Georgetown Square Civic Corporation is a domestic nonprofit corporation and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors of homeowners in the community who have a vested interest in making the best decisions to maintain the beauty, integrity, safety and peacefulness of the area.
